GET printer GSA certified

GET Group North America, a provider of security solutions that enhance Identity, Credential, and Access Management (ICAM) operations, announced that its CP500 identification card printer has been FIPS 201 certified by the U.S. General Services Administration (GSA).

The CP500 card printer is built on more than two decades of experience in delivering secure passport and ID solutions for governments all over the globe. The CP500 combines the forensics of 600dpi and durability of pigment ink with user-upgradeable features for personalization to deliver the most secure card printing solution on the market.

The 600dpi pigment ink technology of the CP500 enables high-quality cards, combining resistance to wear, fading, and long-term color integrity with the high-resolution images for easy point-of-use verification and authenticity protection.

Dai Nippon Printing taps Gemalto for IoT

Gemalto is supplying its security solutions developed for the Internet of Things (IoT) market to Dai Nippon Printing (DNP).

DNP, with approximately 30,000 corporate clients and consumers worldwide, is rolling out two-way server and device PKI-based authentication by leveraging Gemalto’s IDCore smart card platform together with Cinterion secure element and the SensorLogic Application Enablement Platform. The solution authenticates both the server and communicating device. It ensures a secure connection for IoT devices like smart meters, point of sale terminals, and cash-handling machines. For example, financial institutions can now receive alerts related to tampering attempts and pending service needs in real time.

Japan is one of the early adopters of IoT, with more than 624 million IoT devices deployed across the country. Popular IoT services include vending machines, transportation management, and surveillance.

ImageWare, CA integrate

ImageWare Systems announced the availability of GoVerifyID integrated with CA Technologies Single Sign-On and Identity Management products. This integration combines multi-modal biometric user authentication with automated user provisioning.

Together, these joint solutions enable new or existing CA SSO customers to add GoVerifyID’s multi-modal biometric user authentication capabilities to their single sign-on systems. The user provisioning from CA SSO to GoVerifyID has automated the deployment process for the customer’s organization. The combined product is immediately available to CA customers.

ImageWare’s GoVerifyID is a multi-modal biometric that enables organizations to add biometric authentication to their existing security systems. CA SSO provides secure web application access for employees, customers, partners and suppliers whether on-premises, in the cloud, from a mobile device or at a partner’s site. CA Identity Manager delivers a unified solution for user provisioning and user management throughout the entire identity lifecycle, while helping prevent non-compliant provisioning activities, eliminating guesswork when providing role-based access to users and enabling user self-service, such as access requests.

Route1 launches smart card encryption system

Route1 Inc. announced the launch of MobiENCRYPT, a hardware solution delivering remote and local full disk encryption access that exceeds the most stringent government and military privacy and security standards. MobiENCRYPT enables a secure mobile workforce by leveraging identity card-based credentials to protect government organizations from data-at-rest loss and security breaches.

Part of Route1’s suite of patented security solutions, MobiENCRYPT integrates with government-issued CAC and PIV identity card technology, offering multi-factor authentication. The technology provides pre-boot authentication that enables government employees to access their workspaces quickly, without compromising on security. MobiENCRYPT enables a mobile and flexible workforce while protecting government-furnished equipment from loss or theft. Once encrypted, government-furnished equipment remains encrypted after local and remote logins by authorized personnel, while other solutions offer local access only.

MobiENCRYPT integrates with MobiNET, Route1’s identity management and service delivery platform, to grant authorized access. MobiNET enables administrators to manage users and government-furnished equipment with tools, including non-encrypted asset identification, key recovery and remote key revocation.
